ARIK LAD (10) is still a maiden after 15 starts. Could only manage to finish seventh last time out over 7¾f at Mackay following a minor placing at Mackay over 6½f the run prior. Finds a nice race and gets the chance to break through. TYMON (2) missed the frame last time out when fifth over 7½f at Cairns. Still a maiden but has been in the money on four occasions. Goes well at this journey with two minor placings to his credit. Likely to measure up. MAGIC GAME (3) is a maiden galloper who hasn't raced since finishing 4 lengths back in seventh over 7½f at Cranbourne five-and-a-half months ago. Fitter for two trials, placing most recently. Should be competitive. LOOMING ONE (5) finished second last time over 6¼f at Cairns, beaten a nose. Has the talent to take this out.
