WALTER SPUR (3) returned from a break last start and sat on the speed before lifting to score over 5f at Mornington by 5 lengths. Jake Noonan who has two wins when partnering stays on. Sure to run well. CHEVAL CHIC (7) was an impressive maiden winner last time out, scoring by 5 lengths over 5½f at Werribee. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and she cannot be underestimated. GOTTANUFF (12) is back from a lay-off of four months and does go well when fresh, including a win to launch last campaign over 6f at Warracknabeal. Solid chance. TIFFANY VALENTINE (9) returns from a lay-off of four months and did win when resuming last time in work over 6f at Pakenham Synthetic. Fitter for a fifth in a recent trial over 4¾f at Traralgon. Makes plenty of appeal.
