HOPE IN HIM (1) returns from a break of five months. Consistent performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a second over 5f at this track. Expected to bring the good form from last campaign to this contest. LIKE A SALTSHAKER (7) produced a reasonable effort when fifth last start over 6f at Fairgrounds, beaten 2.75 lengths. That followed a win at Churchill Downs the start prior. Has the talent to take this out. NICHIREN (3) switches to synthetic for the first time. Won over 5½f at Laurel two starts ago but followed that with an unplaced effort, beaten 5.5 lengths, over 5f on turf at this track. Watch for sharp improvement. COMPETITIVE SAINT (9) went forward and gave a great sight when second over 5½f at this track (Synthetic) last time out. Has a solid record at this circuit. Solid claims on best form.
