ABBEYDALE (1) looks appealing on stable debut. Appeared highly promising at one stage for previous connections in Ireland and joins a trainer with an excellent record at this track. PHANTOMOFTHEPOINTS (2) created a strong impression winning a Chepstow novice hurdle by 12L. Opening mark is tricky to assess but clearly promising. DOYEN DU BAR (3) didn’t take to fences in latest. Two novice hurdle wins (including course and distance) had merit and might bounce back. JACKPOT D'ATHOU (5) progressed steadily among novice company and rates a danger on handicap debut.
