FRENCH DUKE (2) battled on well to beat a progressive horse over 1m4f at Goodwood in July. The Roger Varian trained colt could have enough to follow up in the first-time hood. GOODWOOD ODYSSEY (3) won well over the same course and distance and with a progressive profile needs considering off a 5lb higher rating. William Haggas trains handicap debutant THE REVEREND (9) who retains plenty of potential. Can handle these conditions. Stablemate SOLOMON (5) disappointed here last-time-out. May bounce back having won impressively tackling 1m2f at Haydock prior.
