HANGIN' TUFF (7) was lining up for just the second time last start when third over 6f at Fairgrounds, beaten 4.5 lengths. Has a strong finish. Heading in the right direction and looks the one to beat. POUND OUT A DEAL (6) improved last start to finish second over 6½f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Must raise the bar but he has the ability to test this field. MAGNOLIA SPEED (5) ran below expectations last time at this track (Dirt), finishing eighth and beaten 15 lengths starting at 11/2. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. PATEK (4) turned in a moderate debut over 5f at this track (Dirt) on November 29 when he was safely held in seventh, 11 lengths from the winner. Will take a lot from that experience. Not to be discounted.
