Daily Nap January 29: Chantry to get his House back in order

Planet Sport tipster Jonathan Doidge zones in on the big race on the Cheltenham card on Saturday, January 29 and sides with a potential Nicky Henderson star who has a little bit to prove.

It may not be a straightforward task, but Chantry House is taken to justify likely favouritism in the Cotswold Chase (14.30) at Cheltenham on Saturday January 29.
The Nicky Henderson-trained gelding ran no sort of race in the King George VI Chase, when he was last seen at Kempton on Boxing Day, but prior to that he had looked high class. His wins in last season's Grade 1 Marsh Novices' Chase (2m4f, good to soft) and his demolition job in the Grade 1 Mildmay Novices' Chase (3m1f, good to soft) next time highlighted that.
A reappearance win in a Sandown Listed contest in Noveember confirmed his wellbeing, before that King George flop, when he went off favourite but was pulled up.
I believe that he will prove a fair bit better than his official rating of 160, which was dropped by 2lb after Kempton and he should have too much class for this Grade 2 field. Ground conditions suit, it's on the soft side of good, while the opposition could have been stronger and only four turn up to take him on.
That is not to write off either Aye Right or Simply The Betts, but by comparison they both look exposed and it's Chantry House to land the nap at Cheltenham on Saturday for JP McManus, under Nico de Boinville.
