Wednesday evening's Kempton meeting abandoned after heavy downpour

Wednesday’s evening meeting Kempton has been called off due to unsafe conditions.
A seven-race all-weather card at the Sunbury venue was set to get underway at 5.05pm.
But heavy rain at the track meant a 4.15pm inspection was called and officials were left with no option but to call off the meeting due to inconsistencies in the Polytrack surface caused by the downpour.
A tweet from the BHA Stewards account read: "The meeting has been abandoned @kemptonparkracedue to unsafe conditions following a heavy downpour."
