Catterick

Off to Catterick we go for the afternoon racing on Tuesday, August 2, where the Planet Sport tipsters will have some hot tips up their sleeves.

Just the six races on the card in North Yorkshire, and hopefully we can serve up some ammunition to send the bookies running for the hills.

You can see all the latest racecards and results from Catterick by using the Planet Sport live centre, but first let's have a quick look at Tuesday's selections.

14:10 (Catterick) Tango Man

14:45 (Catterick) Mayson Mount

15:15 (Catterick) Haven Lady

15:45 (Catterick) Abel Handy

16:15 (Catterick) Thunder Flash

16:45 (Catterick) Jet Set Go

14:10 (Catterick) Tango Man

Tango Man could land the opening British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes at Catterick for David Loughnane and Amo Racing.
The Kingman colt is a half-brother to seven winners, including a Group Three winner, and cost a staggering almost €500,000 at the sales in March.
A couple of his rivals in North Yorkshire bring decent placed form to the table, but connections of Tango Man will surely be disappointed if he does not at least go close to winning on debut.

15:15 (Catterick) Haven Lady

Flat White makes her return to the Flat following some solid efforts over timber and she could give a good account if the ground softens a little in the ABF The Soldier's Charity Handicap.
However, preference is for Haven Lady, who has dropped to just 1lb above her last winning mark. She has recorded some creditable efforts over shorter trips recently and a step up to 2m shouldn't faze her given she kept on over 1m4f recently at this track.
Connections of Marine One now reach for cheekpieces and he completes the shortlist.

16:15 (Catterick) Thunder Flash

Thunder Flash arrives on the hunt for a hat-trick of wins and the Ian Williams-trained five-year-old can continue his ascendancy.
A 4lb rise may underestimate his ability and he gets the nod.
Purple Reign showed a determined attitude to shed the maiden tag on his latest outing at Chepstow and he demands consideration, while Glory And Honour is another to consider.
