15.05 York - Mandoob
Pete is keen on the consistent Mandoob for Brian Meehan in the Sky Bet Race To The Ebor Grand Cup Stakes.
Not out of the top three in any of his six career starts, the Farhh gelding was second to William Haggas' Al Easy at Ascot last time out.
Sean Levy gets the leg up and here is a snapshot of why Pete is mad for Mandoob.
"Mandoob was very good in finishing second last time around, admittedly over a slightly shorter trip, shave two or so furlongs off for that one but ran superbly, actually had done well at Ascot in the race before that also.
Showing plenty of confidence, the yard is incredibly keen on this one and I think, in this field, Mandoob should get the win."
14.35 York - Maywake
This one is chasing the four-timer and Pete is struck with Maywake's recent form going in to the JCB Handicap.
The hat-trick was brought up over course and distance at York last time out as Maywake held on for a game neck win in a large field race for Richard Fahey.
With a manageable weight rise and Oisin Orr in the saddle, here is why Pete think Maywake can make punters' June.
"This horse loves running in the North. Great performances recently at Redcar, Newcastle and in fact here at York back in May. Ran very well in a handicap last time around, won that and in a 20 runner field as well, very impressively indeed."
"Maywake I think has a great chance and actually was almost my star pick of the weekend."
15.40 York - Atomic Lady
Tim Easterby does well round York and Pete reckons his Atomic Lady can crate a bang in the Pavers Foundation Catherine Memorial Sprint Handicap.
Another course and distance winner over six furlongs, the three-year-old Kodiac filly did well to finish third after trouble in running last time around at Ripon.
David Allen hops on board and here is why Pete thinks that Atomic Lady can leave punters aglow each-way.
"I'm a little bit surprised at the price of this horse, was 12/1 when finishing second here at York two runs back. Ran very well at Ripon since then and is 12/1 this time again."
"I don't think this horse quite has it in the tank to get the win but that price in my opinion is way to big for an each-way play."
