Saturday’s Sandown Racing Tips: Mr Grey Sky a red hot chance for Kim Bailey

Kim Bailey

Hey there Kim Bailey, Planet Sport tipster Pete Farries has a tip to clear the gloomiest of skies on Saturday March 12 at Sandown.

Here's a rundown on Pete's picks from Sandown on Saturday, March 12.

14.25 Sandown - Mr Grey Sky

It's not a case of hey there Mr Blue Sky but good afternoon Mr Grey Sky in the Paddy Power Imperial Cup Handicap Hurdle.

Pete isn't feeling gloomy though and he backs Kim Bailey's eight year-old to bag the hat-trick.
A last time out five lengths win at Ludlow puts this one in the frame and here is why Pete thinks that Mr Grey Sky can make it pour for the bookies.
"Both the wins at Leicester and Ludlow came by over four lengths and looked really really solid…With the way this horse is currently running, with the form behind Mr Grey Sky, I can only see one winner and if not a winner then definitely the price is good enough to challenge on each-way terms.
So the star pick of the day in the Imperial Cup is going to be the Bailey runner of Mr Grey Sky.

13.15 Sandown - Langafel

Pete is going with this four-year-old who is two from two over hurdles and looking good for the hat-trick in the Paddy Power Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.

A distance win last time around at Market Rasen came in game fashion and Jamie Moore knows everything worth knowing about his dad's horse.
Here's a snippet of why Pete believes that Langafel will be lucky at Sandown.
"Great wins at the likes of Newton Abbot recently put some really good performances together, really was discovered in terms of good winning form once moving above two miles.
Now this one is ever so slightly and it is only inches below two miles but I don't see anyone in this race that is going to challenge Langafel."

15.35 Sandown - Scene Not Herd

Pete is sticking with the consistent Scene Not Herd in the Paddy Power Novices' Handicap Chase.

Chasing the four-timer, the seven-year-old has won at Hereford, Newcastle and Ludlow and can evade the weights to take this one.

Jonathan Burke takes the reins for Charlie Longsdon and here is a snapshot of why Scene Not Herd can secure the win.

"Now this is a horse that has got a brilliant chance, is off the back of a hat-trick of wins at Hereford at Ludlow and at Newcastle as well.

Has been winning over this trip and winning well on occasion as well. There is no-one in this race, I don't think, in terms of other horses that are going to challenge Scene Not Herd and a bit like Langafel, I think loves the trip it is running on Saturday."
