Saturday's Leopardstown racing tips: Saffron Beach will be hard to beat

Leopardstown

No racing in Britain as a mark of respect for the Queen, so the Planet Sport tipsters are in Leopardstown on Saturday, September 10.

Big reshuffle from the BHA saw Saturday's racing at Doncaster, Ffos Las, Lingfield, Chelmsford, Chester and Musselburgh cancelled, leaving all the attention on the Dublin track.
You can see all the latest racecards and results from Leopardstown by using the Planet Sport live centre, but first let's have a quick look at Saturday's selections. If you want some more info there's some extra detail on our highlighted horses below that.

Selections:

13:30 (Leopardstown) Clever And Cool
14:05 (Leopardstown) Pearle D'Or

15:10 (Leopardstown) Point King

15:45 (Leopardstown) Luxembourg

16:20 (Leopardstown) Jadoomi

16:55 (Leopardstown) Saffron Beach

17:30 (Leopardstown) La Hacienda

14:40 (Leopardstown) Tower Of London

Tower Of London gets the vote over stablemate Auguste Rodin in the Group Two KPMG Champions Juvenile Stakes.
The latter was impressive at Naas on his latest outing and is set to be favourite due to the fact he is the preferred choice of Ryan Moore.
But Tower Of London looked seriously smart when making a successful start to his career over the course and distance and might just handle the conditions better than his stablemate.

15:10 (Leopardstown) Point King

Point King can make it four from four for the season in the Paddy Power Stakes.
Two of his three previous wins this term have been at Leopardstown and he proved he remains on a steep upward curve when bolting up in the Listed Vinnie Roe Stakes a month ago.
This step up to Group Three level is the obvious next step.

15:45 (Leopardstown) Luxembourg

It has so far proved a frustrating campaign for the exciting son of Camelot as he has only made it to the racecourse on a couple of occasions.

His planned Derby bid was foiled by injury after taking a fine third in the 2000 Guineas and while his return last month resulted in only a narrow win in the Royal Whip, Aidan O'Brien could not have been any more enthusiastic about the colt in the aftermath.

Luxembourg faces a tough task in taking on Vadeni and Mishriff, but the best is surely yet to come from him and his freshness heading into the autumn could prove key.

16:55 (Leopardstown) Saffron Beach

Homeless Songs will likely be sent off favourite for the Coolmore America "Justify" Matron Stakes - but those that keep the faith with Saffron Beach can be rewarded.
Homeless Songs was simply brilliant in winning the Irish 1,000 Guineas in May, but has been off the track since as connections have avoided quick summer ground.
Conditions are not expected to be an issue following recent rainfall, but her lack of match practice might be against a race-fit and top-class rival.
Saffron Beach has looked better than ever this year, building on an excellent effort in defeat in Dubai with successive wins back on European soil.
She gave weight and a sound beating to her rivals in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot before dominating from the front in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville.
Jane Chapple-Hyam's stable star is ground versatile and should prove hard to beat.
