Saturday's Epsom racing tips: Modern News to triumph in Diomed Stakes

Planet Sport tipster Pete Farries plucks out his top selections for the big races at Epsom on Saturday, June 4.
You can get our top tips for the Epsom Derby by reading our expert's selection here. For this article we are concentrating on the other big races at Epsom on Saturday - the Princess Elizabeth Stakes (14:35), the Diomed Stakes (15:10) and the 'Dash' Handicap (15:45).

14:35 Epsom - Roman Mist

14:35 Epsom - Roman Mist
Was very good at Kempton when winning the Snowdrop Fillies' Stakes, and looked good over a one mile trip in the last two races at that track. She won her last race closest to this distance in Wolverhampton back in August but that was a Class 4.
I think Roman Mist is going to be way too big for this race.
15:10 Epsom - Modern News
I'm going with the market favourite Modern News to get the win. Went over to Meydan a couple of months ago and looked a bit tired on his return at Doncaster, but since then has been brilliant.
Couple of wins, back-to-back, including the Royal Windsor Stakes last time around. Charlie Appleby is going to be very confident with all his runners this weekend, but this may be one he thinks is most likely to win.
15:45 Epsom - Live In The Dream
Live In The Dream and Live In The Moment are running for the Adam West yard run in The Dash, but Live In The Dream has been a bit of star for this yard and has a brilliant chance. This race is wide open, but Live In The Dream should score.
