15.35 Doncaster - Modern News

Pete is going with Godolphin in the SBK Lincoln.

Charlie Appleby is up there with the world's best trainers and Pete reckons Modern News could be getting this column inches in the Lincoln.
Apprentice Harry Davies gets the ride, taking off a huge seven pounds and here is a snippet of why Pete thinks Modern News can do it.
"Now Modern News won here at Doncaster back in September, admittedly over a slightly shorter trip but the move from seven furlongs and change up to a mile doesn't massively worry me."
"Modern News's speed is also looking very very solid indeed, yes there are but Modern News with a great trainer behind him I think is going to be hard to stop."

15.00 Doncaster - Chindit

Richard Hannon's Chindit has caught Pete's eye in the SBK Doncaster Mile Stakes.

Only a small field race, Chindit has course form to his name and has Rossa Ryan up top this time.
Here's a few of the reasons why Chindit can soldier on to the win.
"Well the form going into Newmarket last time around for this horse wasn't good, plenty of mid-pack and back of the pack finishes but got a third of nine last time last time around over a much comfier trip and I think has a very good chance to win here."
"On top of that this horse has won at Doncaster previously, that was the Champagne Stakes towards the end of last year and while the form hasn't been brilliant, we are starting to see some real progression from Chindit."

14.25 Doncaster - Empirestateofmind

John Quinn's consistent Empirestateofmind has got Pete's backing in the SBK Spring Mile Handicap.

The four-year-old hasn't been out of the top two in any of his last six races and has a distance win to his name.
Jason Hart takes the reins with Empirestateofmind a looming choice at Donny and here are some of the reasons Pete likes him.
"Wins at Thirsk, good challenges at Musselburgh, this is a horse in really really exemplary form."
"What's interesting about this has been doing well in Class 4 and Class 3, moves up to this race for a Class 2, but those form lines are too good to ignore."
