Ripon racing tip: David Allan hoping to ride Allbegone like the wind

Horse racing pundit On The Money Tips is backing Albegone to be on the ball against a small field in the final race of the evening at Ripon.
Just six runners will line up for the final race of the evening at Ripon, but it looks like a competitive field with all six horses capable of finishing in the frame.
Marginal favourite Mereside Angel is a winner over course and distance, a win which came way back in 2021. Her mark has been on a steady decline over the last 12 months but she may fare better against slightly lesser company.
The trainer and jockey duo of Paul Midgley and Graham Lee won this race in 2021 with James Watt and were successful again in 2022 with Latin Five. Birkenhead is the biggest price of the six runners but the yard is bang in form and there's a chance of a threepeat.
Albegone has had 13 runs since his last win in 2022 and returned from a short layoff to record a respectable fourth-place finish at Carlisle last month.
The Tim Easterby horse has previously won over this distance and will be making appearance number six at Ripon, finishing in the top three in each of his last three runs here.
