Perth each-way tip: Course-distance specialist Pammi ready to bounce back at favourite venue

Perth racecourse

After another busy Saturday at the races, Perth’s National Hunt meeting is a perfect way to wind down and hopefully even earn a bob or two from one of our tipster’s best value bets.

19:05 Perth: Follow @racingtv on Instagram Handicap Hurdle  (3 miles)

Bullion Boss heads the early betting in this three-mile handicap hurdle, but Nicky Richards’ eight-year-old holds little appeal at a tentative 9/2 at the time of writing.

With five places widely available there appears to be better value deeper in the betting, with She’s A Rocca and Defence Witness both boasting enough solid credentials to make our each-way shortlist.

However, that list is headed by Jim Goldie’s proven nine-year-old mare, Pammi, whose 11 career wins have included seven at this venue, the last six of which have been over this course and distance.

She could only manage to come eighth of 10 when last out, again over this trip, but she clearly loves this track and is the type who could easily bounce back refreshed from a six-week break.

Pammi lines up carrying 10 pounds less than her last winning mark (which was here eight outings ago last September), and with Goldie having saddled three winners from his last seven runners, he could well have his mare tuned up for at least another frame finish here.

Suggested best bet: Pammi each-way in the 19:05 at Perth
