While it's been two years since he recorded back-to-back successes, that was only eight outings ago for this lightly-raced six-year-old, and he returns to action fresh from another extended ten-week absence.
In his only previous track appearance this year in May, Lord P was far from disgraced when finishing fourth of 11 behind As If By Chance at Windsor, where he kept on gamely to make late headway.
He looks well-treated by the handicapper, and the three-pound allowance of claimer Ben Sanderson brings him below his last winning mark, so he might be ready to challenge for at least an each-way top-four spot at a decent price here.
