Newmarket each-way racing tips: Seendid can give Tom Marquand a flying start in day two opener

Newmarket racecourse

The opening race on day two of Newmarket’s July meeting looks laden with each-way value, which has brought Tipstrr’s specialists scurrying into action with a couple of popular contenders.

13:50 Newmarket: 6 Horse Challenge at bet365 Handicap (1 mile 2 furlongs)

The betting market is dominated by a couple of Charlie Appleby's charges, but the low prices of Tagabawa and Local Dynasty hold little appeal in what looks like something of a betting minefield.

Even if one of those wins, with some bookies paying out on five places for this 13-runner affair, there is arguably more value looking for a larger-priced option capable of backing up its winning potential with a profitable frame finish.
William Haggas and Tom Marquand are both in hot form at the moment, so to see them teaming up again must make Seendid worthy of serious consideration.
This bright young colt was unraced as a two-year-old but has shown steady improvement in his debut season, finishing seventh and third on his first two starts, before breaking his duck over this course and distance three weeks ago.

Making all under Richard Kingscote, Seendid didn't see another horse from start to finish, eventually pushing on from two out and keeping on to leave the closest of his eight rivals three quarters of a length behind him.

Now seemingly well-treated in the weights on his handicap debut, he has close to a stone or more in hand over the two market leaders, and Marquand should be able to bring the best out of him.

Suggested bet: Seendid each-way in the 13:50 at Newmarket

At a slightly higher price, Charlie Johnston's Knockbrex looks more than capable of getting into the mix if he can put his last-time-out setback at Royal Ascot behind him.
He went off much too hard under Frankie Dettori in the Golden Gates Stakes and paid the price in the final stages to finish a distant 12th of 15.

That run undid the promise of this season's earlier outings that included a win over this distance at Pontefract in April. His jockey that day, Jason Hart, reunites here and helps make Knockbrex worthy of another chance for a stable that has won this race in six of the last ten runnings.
