Haydock best bet: Feud prepared to go the extra distance

The team at Tipstrr have been studying their data to supply us with one of their best-supported selections from Friday evening’s flat meeting at Haydock Park.

18:40 Haydock: Jill Wilcox-Jones Memorial Handicap (1 mile 3 furlongs 140 yards)
The two outsiders would appear to be out of their depth in this six-runner handicap, which leaves the main threat to the favourite likely to be in the shape of Stage Show and Swift Hawk, both of whom have been knocking on the door of the winner's enclosure in their most recent outings.
However, it's hard to see any further than the short-priced market leader, Feud, who has been showing steady progress for Ralph Beckett and is beginning to shape up as a bona fide stayer.

After looking out of sorts on season debut in May when there was some cut in the ground at Redcar, he hit the firmer ground running after a 50-day break to feature much more prominently at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago.

The faster ground and the 10-furlong trip appeared to suit, and he looks more than ready to step up another couple of furlongs in lower-grade company here.

Danny Tudhope returns to the saddle, and assuming he gets a smooth unhampered ride, then a maiden win looks on the cards for this capable gelding.

Suggested bet: Feud to win the 18:40 at Haydock
