Harry Cobden’s Planet Sport Bet blog: Bravemansgame has massive chance of taking gold

After bagging a winner on Monmiral on Thursday, Planet Sport ambassador Harry Cobden is hoping to finish the Cheltenham Festival in style on Friday, March 14.

14:50 (Cheltenham) Captain Teague

I start off the final day of the Cheltenham Festival aboard Captain Teague in the Albert Bartlett.

He’s a horse we like a lot and has always impressed us at home. I’m certain he will stay the trip as he’s quite a relaxed horse and I don’t see the occasion getting to him either.

He’s already had a run around the track earlier in the season and ran a cracker in the Champion Bumper, so we know he likes it round here.

It’s obviously a very competitive race, but I think he’s got a really nice chance.

15:30 (Cheltenham) Bravesmansgame

Out of all my rides this week, I’m probably most excited about Bravemansgame in the Gold Cup, because it’s the big race and I do think he has a strong chance.

While we’ve probably got to step up on last year’s form to try and beat Galopin Des Champs, I think he’s got a massive chance and looks a big price based on well he ran 12 months ago. If we can finish in the first three or four, we’d be delighted.

To win the Gold Cup would be a massive achievement and it really would be the icing on the cake. It’s the race you want to win as a kid, and it would be amazing to do it and add it to my CV.

I would be lying if I said I hadn’t thought about winning it, and it’s great I’ve got a horse that has realistic claims.
