15.35 York - Stradivarius

Pete knows class when he sees it and he's backing the daddy of all stayers to win yet again in the Paddy Power Yorkshire Cup Stakes.

"The Strad" has been there, seen it and done it over the years and can say goodbye to York with a win.

Frankie Dettori gets the leg up and here's a snippet of what Stradivarius can sign off from York with a win.

"I don't think you can take this stallion on really. He won, of course, in 2018 and 2019 in this race, yes Spanish Mission went on to win last year but Stradivarius is a horse who, despite being heavy odds-on for this, is, I think, unstoppable."
"Search For A Song has half a chance but Stradivarius is, absolutely at York, the one to beat."

14.25 York - Honey Sweet

There's the sweet smell of success about this one says Pete in the Oaks Farm Stables Fillies' Stakes.

Karl Burke's three-year-old was a good winner of the Prix Zeddaan at Deauville last October and stepped up to seven furlongs last month with a victory in the Betfair King Charles II Stakes.

Pete thinks there is value in Honey Sweet stepping up to the mile and here are a few of the reasons why.

"Yes was second at Newmarket last time out, six lengths off the eventual winner but did actually run pretty well that day in the King Charles II Stakes."
"Won over at Deauville, albeit at a much shorter trip but I think this horse has a great chance, at the time of recording around 6/1 might offer you a little bit of each-way value but I'm going to go on the nose with Honey Sweet."

13.50 York - Beautiful Eyes

Pete is enraptured with Beautiful Eyes in the Knights Solicitors British EBF Marygate Fillies' Stakes.

Unbeaten in two starts for the Johnstons, the Bobby's Kitten filly prevailed at Ayr on the turf and Kempton on the all-weather over five furlongs.

Franny Norton takes the ride and here is a snapshot of why Beautiful Eyes can dazzle.

"This horse did really well at Ayr and Kempton, picking up wins at both, admittedly though over much lower Class- Class 4 and 5."
"I just worry about the field here, I don't think it's that strong. Miami Girl obviously has a great chance but outside of that I think it could be a bit of a shootout.

So each-way, Beautiful Eyes, I think, is a great way to go."
