Warwick nap February 12: Lieutenant can take command at Warwick

There’s some cracking racing throughout Saturday, February 12. Planet Sport tipster Jonathan Doidge has delved within and come up with an outsider who should go much closer than his price suggests.

We're heading to Warwick's valuable card for Saturday's nap and taking a flyer on the outsider of 11 runners, as the race is priced up at the time of writing, and that's Lieutenant Rocco.
He goes in the Virgin Bet Warwick Castle Handicap Chase (15.15). This is over two-and-a-half miles and you'll be able to see it 'live' on ITV.
It looks an open and competitive race on paper, with the favourite as I write, Celebre D'Allen trading at around 9/2.
Lieutenant Rocco looks a huge price to me at around 18/1. He was a classy novice over fences, finishing under seven lengths third in a Wincanton Grade 2 over this trip 13-months ago and bettering that with a win next time at Ffos Las.
A repeat of either effort from Saturday's mark of 140 would give him a serious chance. He was trained then by Nick Mitchell and is now in the care of Harriet Brown.
Although he pulled up on his first run for almost a year at Lingfield recently, he ran well for a long way there before getting tired and might just have needed the run. He should strip fitter this time and any rain would also be in his favour.
So, I think Lieutenant Rocco is a sporting bet and you can do so each-way if you wish. Look for his name in the 15.15 at Warwick on Saturday.
