Cheltenham Festival News: Honeysuckle blooms with second Champion Hurdle under Rachael Blackmore

Honeysuckle Cheltenham

Honeysuckle blossomed with a gorgeous second Unibet Champion Hurdle win under Rachael Blackmore. The race was never in doubt for Henry De Bromhead's mare after the second last at Cheltenham.

Honeysuckle showed her class with a second win in the Unibet Champion Hurdle under the superlative Rachael Blackmore.

The win continued the Henry De Bromhead wonder-mare's unbelievable 15 win streak and it was a one-two for the girls as Nicky Henderson's mare Epatante came home second.

Blackmore was content to bide her time on the 8-11 favourite and take a wide route, stalking Willie Mullins' Appreciate It and Hughie Morrison's Not So Sleepy who pushed the agenda.

But the race was all but over after the second last hurdle when Blackmore opened Honeysuckle up, leaving Epatante and Gordon Elliott's Zanahiyr for dust.
