Cheltenham Festival 2022: Wednesday's Brown Advisory tips - Williams to score with L'Homme Presse
It's a hugely competitive Brown Advisory Novices' Chase on Wednesday, March 16 at the Cheltenham Festival. Planet Sport's panel sorts the wheat from the chaff in the Grade 1 race.
Join the Racing Post's David Carr, former Cheltenham Festival winning jockey Dominic Elsworth and Planet Sport's Jonathan Doidge as they get beguiled by the Brown Advisory.
This year the Brown Advisory Novices' Chase is the second race on Day 2 of the Festival, starting at 14:10 on Wednesday, March 16, and you can bone up on the day's racing via our live race centre.
It seems unusual to have three British horses at the top of the market but that is the case with the Brown Advisory 2022.
Heading the betting are Paul Nicholls' Bravemansgame, Venetia Williams' L'Homme Presse plus Lucinda Russell's talented stayer Ahoy Senor.
Here's what Planet Sport's panel make of what could be a vintage Brown Advisory.
Ahoy Senor - David Carr (Racing Post)
"I just like Ahoy Senor, he didn't jump brilliantly when he was beaten by Bravemansgame at Kempton but that wasn't his track, Cheltenham is a very different place. They've done a lot of work on his jumping since and I fancy him to out-stay the favourite."
L'Homme Presse - Dominic Elsworth (Cheltenham Festival winning jockey)
"L'Homme Presse for me and as a bit of an each-way bet, Threeunderthrufive."
L'Homme Presse - Jonathan Doidge (Planet Sport tipster)
"I'm going to go here with the Brits, with Venetia Williams and L'Homme Presse. He's come on leaps and bounds since going chasing this season.
"He's won four out of four, Exeter, Ascot, the Grade 2 Dipper at Cheltenham on New Year's Day and then, most recently, Grade 1 company in the Scilly Isles at Sandown."
