Russell Henley holds on to Wyndham lead as Billy Horschel makes his move

Henley maintained his one-stroke lead heading into the weekend, but a blistering 62 from Horschel saw him move into second place.
Russell Henley still leads by one stroke after the second round of the Wyndham Championship, though Billy Horschel stole the show with his eight-under-par 62.
Henley held a one-shot overnight lead at this week's PGA Tour event in Greensboro, North Carolina thanks to an opening 62 and kept his nose in front following a four-under second round of 66 that featured four birdies and one bogey.
That took his total to 12 under par, one shot clear of Horschel, who tamed Sedgefield with a 62 of his own on Friday, draining seven birdies and an eagle along with one dropped shot.
"I would say just off the tee didn't quite get it in the fairway quite as much," said Henley after his round.
Henley is determined not to get ahead of himself, as he was chasing a wire-to-wire victory at Sedgefield in 2021 before ultimately losing out in a play-off.
"It's why I've got to play all 72 holes," Henley said. "It's just hard to do, hard to finish it off, but I'm excited hopefully for another good weekend."
Horschel, meanwhile, has had a disappointing season, but said his game has been on the up in recent weeks.
"There's been a lot of positive stuff coming, a lot more confidence in my ability to strike the golf ball, which has been the biggest issue all year," he said.
To qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, he will need at least a win or solo second finish.
"If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't," he said.
Also chasing a FedEx Cup spot is former World No 1 Justin Thomas, whose second round 65 was much better than his opening 70, although it still leaves him seven shots off the pace.
Another FedEx Cup hopeful is Adam Scott, who fell off the pace on Friday with a one-over 71 that left him eight back.
