PGA Tour rookie Trevor Cone leads Barbasol Championship

After a remarkable nine under 63 in the third round, American Trevor Cone snatched the lead away from Lucas Glover ahead of the final round of the Barbasol Championship.

The 2023 Barbasol Championship is heading down to the wire in Kentucky...
The 30-year-old made nine birdies without a dropped shot, taking him to 17 under par and one stroke ahead of Glover at Keene Trace.
Cone said he simply got on a roll, "just played smart, fairways, greens, not get too aggressive. Just hoped the putter came alive and today it did. Hopefully, it continues tomorrow."
Glover continued his hot streak in the event co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and the European Tour, his 69 making it 11 straight rounds in the 60s.
The four-time PGA Tour winner said he will embrace the impending showdown with Cone and the other younger golfers on Sunday.
"These young guys aren't like when I was young. They're ready to win now, there's no learning curve anymore," he said.
"So, it's going to be all of us want tomorrow. It's going to be a knock-down drag-out and it should be fun."
Tied with him in second is Sweden's Vincent Norrman, who had his second consecutive 67 on Saturday.
Englishman Nathan Kimsey hit five under par for the day to move up four spots and finish the day tied in fifth, three strokes from the lead.
Kimsey had an eagle, four birdies and a bogey as he hopes continue to advance up the leaderboard into contention.
Fellow Englishman Daniel Brown hit a two under par 70 with two bogeys cancelling out half of his four birdies. He is on 13 under par, four strokes off the lead.
