PGA Tour News: Ryan Palmer and Charley Hoffman post record score in QBE Shootout
Charley Hoffman and Ryan Palmer have a two-stroke lead as the PGA Tour's QBE Shootout heads into the final day on Sunday.
The American duo combined for ten birdies in modified alternate shot to card a ten under 62 around Tiburon Golf Club in Florida.
The round took them to 26-under for the tournament - a 36-hole record - two ahead of PGA Tour rising star Sahith Theegala and Tom Hoge. The final round will be fourballs format.
"We were in a pretty good rhythm," quipped Hoffman on

"We were giving ourselves birdie chances and we were knocking most of them in.
"The reality is we were just doing our thing. Obviously we saw the low scores, but that means there's birdies out there and we tried to attack them in and we did a pretty good job."
