PGA Tour news: Chris Kirk eyes Sunday silverware at Honda Classic

Chris Kirk has a two-stroke lead heading into the final round of the Honda Classic on Sunday.
The American carded a four-under 66 around PGA National on Saturday, enough to move him to 13 under for the tournament, two ahead of fellow countryman Eric Cole and three ahead of Justin Suh.
Kirk was solid throughout his third round, leaving the drama to the last hole. His errant second into the par five 18th would somehow end up under someone's bag left against the grandstand.
Undeterred, the 37-year-old took a drop, chipped on the green and drained the putt for a final birdie to restore his two-shot lead.
Meanwhile, Cole, who also signed for a 66, is enjoying his time in Florida.
"It's awesome," said Cole, as per ESPN.
"I've never played this event before. Tried to qualify a bunch of times ... I'm enjoying every minute of it."
Former Open champion Shane Lowry is four shots off the pace on nine under, a position he didn't think he would find himself in on Thursday.
His beloved uncle Jimmy passed away on the eve of the tournament and he seriously considered flying back to Ireland to support his father, but instead stayed and played with a green ribbon on his cap.
"It's very sad week for our family," admitted Lowry.
"To be honest, I wanted to go home on Thursday when I heard the news. A lot of people talked me out of it. I'm here now. I'm trying to play for him and play for his wife and his kids and my cousins and my uncles and my aunts and everyone at home because we're a very close family and very proud of our name and very proud of where we come from."
