PGA Tour: Keegan Bradley and Grayson Murray share lead in Sony Open
Keegan Bradley and Grayson Murray sit on top of a packed leaderboard going into the final round of the Sony Open on Sunday.
On a day of low scoring, Bradley carded a superb 63 around Waialae Country Club in Hawaii, enough to move him to 14 under for the tournament and tied with fellow American Murray.
The Sunday silverware is set to be hotly contested, as no less than ten players are within four shots of the lead.
Bradley's highlights included a cut 6-iron to six foot on a difficult back pin on the par three 17th. Then after crushing his drive into the par five last, he did enough for a two-putt birdie.
"It's a tricky thing because you can't be staring at the leaderboard all day," said Bradley as he previewed Sunday on pgatour.com.
"If you make a bogey or a few pars in a row, you can go from leading to 12th in a second. I've got to go out tomorrow and probably shoot another pretty low one to win."
Murray, meanwhile, rolled in four birdies and an eagle to sign for a flawless 64. The world number 132 has been open about his battle with alcohol in the past, but is currently on a good run. And it’s showing in his golf.
"I'm over eight months sober now," said the 30-year-old.
"I have a beautiful fiancée that I love so much and who is so supportive of me, and my parents are so supportive of me.
"Just makes everything so easy when I got out here inside the ropes when everyone is just in my circle just really pulling for me. They're right there with me when I do have those hard days – and I still have hard days, but I feel a lot more at peace inside the ropes now."
