Mike Lorenzo-Vera loses cool with angry gambler on social media, whole world cheers

Golfers aren't normally congratulated for unleashing foul-mouthed tirades on social media, but no one blamed DP World Tour pro Mike Lorenzo-Vera for losing his cool recently.

Lorenzo-Vera is well known for not being afraid to voice his opinions on X and was eager to share an exchange he had recently had with a so-called fan after he missed the cut at last week's Qatar Masters.

In reality, the "fan" was a gambler on golf, no doubt upset with the Frenchman for losing him some money.

"Always nice to receive this kind of message after a s*** ending," Lorenzo-Vera wrote along with a screenshot of the message in question. "Just click for the answer."

The screenshot revealed a social media user named Christian who, despite having a profile picture of himself holding a puppy, called Lorenzo-Vera a "gutless loser" for delivering a "f****** gutless performance".

To which Lorenzo-Vera replied: "Go f*** yourself, you piece of s***. I'm happy you lost your money on a bet!"

Certainly no one is going to accuse Lorenzo-Vera of taking the high road in this situation - however, absolutely no one had any sympathy for Christian the angry dog lover either.

Lorenzo-Vera gave as good as he got in response to a pretty vile message, and no one was prepared to blame him for that.
