Luke List drains 45 foot putt in thrilling five-man playoff to win the Sanderson Farms Championship
Luke List showed nerves of steel to claim his second PGA Tour title after a thrilling final 20 minutes of golf at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi on Sunday.
Ryder Cup winner Ludvig Aberg, who only turned professional in June and has already won on the DP World Tour, shot a final round 68 to end in the Sanderson Farms Championship playoff as overnight leader Ben Griffin stumbled in the closing holes.
But List closed the door on fellow Americans Griffin and Scott Stallings, plus Swedish pair Aberg and Henrik Norlander, with his birdie on the first extra hole.

"It's been a full roller coaster," he said.
"I hung in there. I didn't think it was going to be enough, but here we are. It's been a crazy 20 minutes.
"I think all my emotion kind of came out after that putt, and then it was just shock, really, still.
"But to have them there means everything. The last one my son was a little smaller and he's starting to get into golf a little bit. But just my wife, she's incredible, and her steadiness and perseverance to keep me level and positive is a job in itself.
"It's just tough sometimes backing myself, and she's always got my back. It was really special having her and my kids here.
"[My daughter] has been telling me for a long time, 'Daddy I want a trophy', and I finally got one."
Griffin fell away on the last day, opening the opportunity for the other four after he hit 74.
"It's a bummer," said Griffin, who closed with 74 to sneak into the five-way playoff. "I thought I was going to still be able to get it done today."
Aberg congratulated List on the victory, describing his winning putt was "unbelievable".
