Frederic Lacroix earns maiden DP World Tour title at Danish Golf Championship
Frederic Lacroix cruised to a four-stroke win at the Danish Golf Championship to grab his first DP World Tour title on Sunday.
Frenchman Lacroix began the day four shots off the lead but closed the gap with three birdies on the front nine before powering clear of the chasing pack with three more gains after the turn.
His flawless final-round 65 saw him finish the tournament on 14 under par, four strokes clear of nearest challengers Romain Langasque and Lucas Bjerregaard.
Last week's winner David Ravetto was alone in fourth another shot further back, one ahead of the large group containing Danish amateur Jacob Skov Olesen and England's Joe Dean.
Lacroix revealed he drew inspiration from seeing fellow Frenchman and friend Ravetto lift the trophy at last week's D+D REAL Czech Masters.
He said: "Seeing my friend win last week, David - it showed that it's possible, it's more than doable. I'm just a bit lost for words now."
