Stephen Fry to become president of MCC in October

Actor and writer Stephen Fry will become the next president of Marylebone Cricket Club in the autumn, replacing former England captain Clare Connor.
Fry has been a member of the MCC, which owns Lord's cricket ground and is responsible for the laws of the game, in 2011 and became just the second non-cricketer to deliver the prestigious Cowdrey Lecture last year.
The 64-year-old will take up the role on October 1 after being nominated to the post, which is rotated on an annual basis, at Wednesday's MCC AGM.
