Scotland too strong for Namibia in ICC World Cup League 2 encounter

Scotland overcame Namibia by 43 runs in their ICC World Cup League 2 clash in Kirtipur.
Namibia won the toss at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and elected to field first and the Scots, who had already secured top place in the section last week, made 221 from 48.4 overs.
Chris McBride top-scored with 47, while Tom Mackintosh made 34 and captain Richie Berrington 32. Player of the match Ruben Trumpelmann took five wickets for 30 for Namibia.
Bowlers Mark Watt and Michael Leask were key to the Scots' victory as they took four and three wickets respectively when Namibia replied.
Lo-handre Louwrens reached 52 before Leask, who contributed 29 runs to Scotland's tally, caught him off his own delivery.
Captain Gerhard Erasmus scored 43 but his dismissal was the first of seven wickets to fall for 54 runs as Namibia slipped from 124 for three to 178 all out.
When wicketkeeper Zane Green became Watt's fourth victim when Safyaan Sharif caught him in the 39th over, the contest was over.
Scotland conclude their campaign when they face hosts Nepal on Tuesday.
