Ian Bell set to join New Zealand's coaching staff for white-ball series against England

New Zealand have enlisted the help of former England batter Ian Bell for their upcoming limited-overs tour against Jos Buttler's side.

Ian Bell will join New Zealand's coaching staff for the white-ball tour to England.
The five-time Ashes winner, who retired in 2020, will join the Black Caps as Gary Stead's assistant for the T20 series against England later this month before taking on the role of batting coach for the four ODIs.
Ex-England wicketkeeper-batter James Foster will take over from Bell as assistant coach for the ODIs against England and also the World Cup later this year.
New Zealand manager Simon Insley said: "We're delighted with the calibre of coaches we've been able to confirm to assist the Black Caps on the various tours.
"New voices don't just freshen things up for the players but they also bring new ideas and energy to the whole group which is especially important on away tours.
"Ian Bell has had a broad range of experiences as batting coach since retiring, working with Derbyshire, Hobart Hurricanes, England U19 and Lions as well as his current role with the Birmingham Phoenix.
"James Foster has worked with a number of our Black Caps through his extensive coaching history which has featured stints as head coach in the International League T20, Caribbean Premier League, the Pakistan Super League along with his current role with Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.
"We're looking forward to welcoming the new guys into our group and getting stuck into a busy and important period of cricket for the team."
