England vs New Zealand: Watch 'ridiculously unlucky' dismissal in third Test at Headingley
New Zealander Henry Nicholls falls victim to outrageous misfortune after grinding out 19 runs from 99 balls in the third Test.
England bagged a huge bonus in the last over before teaย when Henry Nicholls was hugely unfortunate to be dismissed after his clean blow off Jack Leach ricocheted off the bat of Daryl Mitchell at the non-striker's end and looped to Alex Lees at mid-off.
Following the wicket, the MCC Laws of Cricket - law 33.2.2.3 if being completely accurate - confirmed the dismissal was the correct decision.
"A fielder catches the ball after it has touched the wicket, an umpire, another fielder, a runner or the other batter."
What on earth!? ๐ ๐

England on top
Stuart Broad inspired England on the opening day of the third and final Test against New Zealand.
The Kiwis asked England to field first in serene batting conditions, but lost their first wicket to Broad before a run had been scored.
A partnership of 40 had begun to level things out until Nicholls was the victim of outrageous ill-fortune, hammering a lofted drive off Leach only for the ball to ricochet off the middle of non-striker Mitchell's bat and into the hands of mid-off.
Leach delivers
But Ben Stokes' decision to take an early look at Leach, after just 12 overs, paid off as his loosener straightened up off the pitch and hit Will Young bang in front of middle.
