Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz tips: The Problem Child favourite to put away another MMA legend

Jake Paul

Planet Sport looks ahead to a much-hyped fight between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz.

Jake Paul returns to action for the first time since suffering his first defeat at the hands of Tommy Fury.

The American YouTuber and influencer endured a split decision defeat against the Brit - who was the first established boxer Paul had come up against in his career.

Paul will now turn his attention to UFC legend Nate Diaz as the pair prepare to square off this weekend.

Diaz, who turned 38 in April, recently left the UFC after opting not to re-sign with the organisation.

His last appearance in the octagon took place in September 2022 when he choked out Tony Ferguson at UFC 279.

Diaz boasts a 22-13 record in MMA, with the majority of his wins coming by way of submission.

The American won't be able to count on his grappling skills on this occasion as he laces up his boxing gloves for the very first time.
Paul has already defeated three other MMA stars in Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.
The 26-year-old not only boasts more experience in the boxing ring but also enters the bout as the bigger man.
While Diaz has an unquestionable heart and an unmatched will to win, the task ahead of him is huge.

The MMA legend is as tough as they come, though he's not exactly hard to hit.

That could be a problem against an improving fighter like Paul who has come on leaps and bounds in the sport.

With a developing jab and a big right hand at his disposal, our recommendation is to back the younger man.

Paul to win doesn't offer much value in the outright market considering the YouTuber-turned-boxer is regarded as heavy favourite by the bookmakers.

Instead, Paul to win by knockout at around even money is the way to go. Less than seven rounds completed also offers decent value.
