What next for Canelo after unifying super middleweight division?
After brutally stopping Caleb Plant, Canelo will return to action in May 2022, but who will he fight?
What is next for the great Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez?
Canelo dispatched the previously unbeaten American Caleb Plant in the 11th round after a brutal show of strength in Las Vegas.
Plant fought skillfully and showed great heart to climb off the canvas in the penultimate round after Canelo had downed him with a left hook and uppercut combination.
Plant, who had a full blown conversation with Canelo in round nine, could not trouble the brilliant Mexican, despite winning the opening round on all three judges' scorecards.
The big question mark was whether 'Sweethands' could deliver enough power to stop Canelo in his tracks.

Having fought four times in the last 11 months on his road to undisputed, Canelo says his "body needs a rest" and he will not fight again until May 2022.
What next for Canelo?
If he opts to remain in the 168-pound division then a trilogy fight with Gennady Golovkin could be the play.
British challenger?
Light heavyweight division
The BBC claim "a more likely scenario would see Alvarez moving up a weight class" in a bid to dominate the light heavyweight division.
Of course former US Olympian Browne could come into the reckoning himself he beats Beterbiev in Montreal.
Maverick Canelo options
Meanwhile, New Yorker Joe Smith Jr is a left field option. The WBO light-heavyweight champion was hospitalized with COVID-19 recently which saw his light heavyweight title defence against Umar Salamov postponed.
