Tyson Fury reveals he’s received ‘a lot of offers’ to fight former UFC heavyweight champion next

Tyson Fury in action against Derek Chisora

WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has revealed that he’s received “offers” to face MMA fighter Francis Ngannou next.

Tyson Fury has discussed the possibility of him fighting former UFC world heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

'The Gypsy King' has infuriated boxing fans this year as he has spent his time talking rather than delivering in the ring.

His last bout was his one-sided pummelling of Derek Chisora last December. He faced off with Oleksandr Usyk after this dull trilogy fight, with the initial plan being for the two champions to meet in a huge unification bout at the start of 2023.

Talks between the teams eventually broke down after Fury insisted on making unnecessary demands and setting tight deadlines for Usyk and his team.

The Ukrainian is instead set to fight Daniel Dubois in August, while it's been indicated that Fury will face Ngannou in a crossover bout.
Ngannou has left the UFC following a dispute with Dana White. He has penned a deal with the rival MMA promotion, the PFL, but he has been hoping to make his boxing debut this year.
Fury has now admitted that there is "potential" in a fight against Ngannou.
"I think there's been a lot of talk of me and Ngannou fighting each other," Fury said on the Out of Interest podcast.

"He wants to come to boxing and he wants to fight me, he was even at one of my last fights and got up on the ring and confronted me!

"There's potential. We've had a lot of offers from the Middle East at the moment to host that fight over the summer."

Fury's promoter - Frank Warren - has meanwhile indicated that the heavyweight's next fight is going to be a "massive game-changer".

"It'll be a bit of a game-changer in a couple of weeks' time," Warren said.
"It'll be a massive game-changer and it's gonna be interesting to see the fallout from it.
"You'll find out in a couple of weeks. I guarantee you, you'll say to me in a couple of weeks, 'That's a game-changer.'"
On a potential fight with Oleksandr Usyk, the promoter added: "He will not be fighting on the Skill Challenge show in December because they're talking about their show now being postponed until January.
"I think their head of boxing Amer Abdallah said they'll probably be moving it to the first quarter of 2024, that's up to them.
"Prince Khaled is a fantastic person, I really like him, but in the meantime, we have to move on, we are going to announce something."
