Fury is set for a homecoming against Whyte - his first UK fight since 2018 having fought in America for the last five fights, including two wins over Deontay Wilder.

Tyson Fury will make the second defence of his WBC heavyweight world title against Dillian Whyte.

The pair will collide at Wembley Stadium with a record-breaking 94,000 fans in attendance - a UK record for a boxing spectacle in the UK.

Fury successfully defended his crown against arch-rival Deontay Wilder, knocking him out in round 11 to end their incredible trilogy series. It was Fury's second win over Wilder, and now the 'Gypsy King' will face his mandatory challenger.

Whyte - the interim titlist - was the organisation's No.1 contender for more than 1,000 days but did not get a title shot - before losing his position to Alexander Povetkin in 2020.

The Brixton heavy-hitter returned to the top of the rankings following his revenge over Povetkin in March, 2021. Whyte took legal action against the WBC for delaying his world title shot but it has now been resolved, clearing the way for the contest to happen.

However, Whyte has continued to be the talk of the fight by not turning up to their first press conference to promote the fight last month.

It is believed Whyte refused to attend after not being offered a private jet to attend from his training base in Portugal.

Eddie Hearn - who is not involved in the fight - told Planet Sport that he can see Whyte landing a big upset win.

"Whyte can beat Fury by being a big strong and tough heavyweight that can really switch your lights out with one punch, in particular the left hook. I can see it happening and I believe he can do it."

They will charge fans $69.99 despite it not being in the prime hours for American viewers.

In the UK, BT Sport Box Office will stage it and it will cost each buyer £24.99 to watch it.

What are they earning for the fight?

Frank Warren won the purse bids and they are the biggest in British boxing history at £31m. Fury will take away £25m and Whyte will pick up at least £6m.
