Mike Tyson reveals incredible story of how he knocked a garbage man out aged 10
Mike Tyson is famous for delivering his deadly right hand, but this story will leave you stunned.
The heavyweight legend recalled the time he was just 10-years-old when he had to say goodbye to his first love… a pigeon named Julius.
Upset that his pigeon had passed away, ‘Iron’ Mike wanted to give him a proper send-off but he was unable to after a garbage man noticed the dead pigeon on a crate.
With Julius unattended, he got disposed of by the worker, which stopped Tyson from giving his beloved pet a memorial. You can guess what happened next when the ex-boxer witnessed it through his own eyes.
"One morning I woke up and found my favourite pigeon, Julius, had died I was devastated and was gonna use his crate as my stickball bat to honour him,” Tyson told the World Boxing Council.
"I left the crate on my stoop and went in to get something and I returned to see the sanitation man put the crate into the crusher.
"I rushed him and caught him flush on the temple with a titanic right hand he was out cold."
It wasn’t the only altercation Tyson was involved with when it concerned birds. The 53-year-old spoke of how he got confronted by a boy who ripped the head off a pigeon.
He added: "The guy ripped the head off my pigeon. This was the first thing I ever loved in my life, the pigeon.
"I don't know why, I feel ridiculous just trying to explain it. [Pigeons] are just so much like people."
