Mike Tyson surprised the world by overcoming Muhammad Ali to win the inaugural ‘eWBSS Heavyweight Legends’ Tournament’.

For years, fans have wondered what would’ve happened if the pair had both met in their primes. Tyson has previously gone on record saying he would never have been able to beat the ‘Greatest’ but according to EA Sports’ ‘Fight Night Champion’, he did.
The simulated game, created by the World Boxing Super Series to help fans overcome the current global crisis, saw all three judges score it 114-111 in favour of ‘Iron’ Mike.

Tyson got off to a rocky start, though, tasting the canvas in the opening round before retaliating with two knockdowns of his own, which proved enough in what was an absolute thriller for fans.

The e-heavyweight tournament included the likes of George Foreman, Evander Holyfield and David Haye. 'Smokin' Joe Frazier defeated Lennox Lewis in his quarter-final bout but pulled out from a fourth fight against Ali which gave replacement Sonny Liston a chance to gain revenge over Ali only to get stopped inside five.
Meanwhile, Tyson defeated Eric 'Butterbean' Esch before grilling Foreman en-route to winning the heavyweight series.

The format is set to continue with an eWBSS Middleweight Legends tournament. The eight fighters are as follows: Sugar Ray Robinson (1), Sugar Ray Leonard (2), Marvin Hagler (3), Carlos Monzon (4) , Jake LaMotta, Ronald Wright, Kelly Pavlik & Fernando Vargas.
Robinson, regarded as the greatest boxer of all-time, begins the tournament against Vargas at 7pm GMT tonight on the World Boxing Super Series Facebook.
