Jake Paul settles for Hasim Rahman Jr as replacement opponent after Tommy Fury withdrawal
Hasim Rahman Jr has already been lined up as Jake Paul's next opponent on August 6, after his Tommy Fury fight was cancelled earlier this week.
The son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman - who knocked out Lennox Lewis to claim the WBC, IBF and IBO belts in 2001, will go toe-to-toe with the social media star at Madison Square Garden.
Rahman Jr. has a 12-1 record, but recently lost to James McKenzie Morrison by TKO. Paul is 5-0, but has mainly fought UFC stars, YouTubers and a NBA Slam Dunk champion, so this will be seen as a serious step up.

But it doesn’t matter. They don’t have my heart, don’t have my drive & definitely don’t have my team.
August 6 I’m showing the world that Jake Paul is a bad mother fucker.

Paul even admits the fight will be at a better level, while taking another dig at Fury.
"I'm literally crazy," Paul said. "There's no reason why I should be taking this fight. ... I want to prove to the boxing world that I'm a real dog, which I am. And I'm gonna go in there against this 12-1 kid who is bigger than Tommy Fury, faster than Tommy Fury - all of these things. And I'm gonna put on the performance of a lifetime and just shut everyone up."
