Jake Paul confirms next opponent amid Mike Tyson postponement

Jake Paul will return to the ring on July 20 when he takes on the biggest name in bare-knuckle boxing.

Paul, who was set to face Mike Tyson this summer, will instead take on former UFC fighter and current BKFC star Mike Perry.

The boxing bout will be contested over eight rounds at the cruiserweight limit, and it will take place on July 20 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

The fighters will also use 10-ounce gloves in a bout which will be available live on DAZN PPV.

Paul was originally set for a blockbuster clash against Tyson on that very same date. However, the 57-year-old had to reschedule the bout after encountering medial issues.

Paul and Tyson are still set to square off in the boxing ring, though their bout is now set for November 15.

It’s now been over one year since Paul suffered his first professional defeat at the hands of Tommy Fury.

Since that loss, ‘The Problem Child’ picked up a unanimous decision win over Nate Diaz, before picking up first-round knockouts over Andre August and Ryan Bourland.

Perry, on the other hand, is unbeaten since leaving the UFC. The bare-knuckle boxer has won six straight fights since leaving the MMA giant – including five wins under the BKFC banner.

Amanda Serrano, who is set to meet Katie Taylor on the Paul vs Tyson card, will also feature on the show. The boxing legend will take on face Stevie Morgan in the co-main event.
