Jaime Munguia vs John Ryder: Full card, start time, where to watch the super-middleweight showdown
John Ryder will be looking to bounce back from his defeat to Canelo Alvarez when he returns to action this Saturday night against the undefeated Jaime Munguia.
Ryder put on a valiant effort against the indomitable Canelo, though he ultimately came up short on points.
Since that defeat, the 35-year-old admitted he is only looking at big fights. While a rematch with Canelo looks unlikely, the Brit could at least force himself into the conversation with victory over Munguia.
That is certainly easier said than done. The 27-year-old is forging his own path towards a title shot and currently boasts a 42-0 record.
Munguia only had one fight in 2023, picking up a unanimous decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko.
That success handed the Mexican the WBC Silver title, moving him one step closer towards a potential shot at world honours.
Ryder will be intent on handing Munguia his first blemish on his perfect record. A win for the Brit would once again boost his stock and put him in the conversation with the likes of David Benavidez, Caleb Plant, David Morrell and other top contenders in the division.
Fans can watch the much-anticipated super-middleweight clash live on DAZN across 200 countries. This doesn’t include Mexico.
The event will begin at 1am GMT with the main event ringwalks scheduled for around 4am GMT.
