Exclusive: Tyson Fury is 'unstoppable' and his 'personality' has a lot to do with it
Former heavyweight world champion Bermane Stiverne reveals what makes Tyson Fury the best heavyweight of his generation.
Bermane Stiverne believes no current fighter from the heavyweight division can topple Tyson Fury.
The 'Gypsy King' is undefeated from 33 fights and has recorded impressive wins over Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte in the last six months.
Fury - who claims to have retired but is yet to vacate his WBC belt - is regarded as the best of his generation despite Oleksandr Usyk holding the other three major world titles.
"The Gypsy King is at his prime right now. He's unstoppable and he's doing a great job. I think he's the man right now, there's nothing to debate about who's the man in the heavyweight division," Stiverne exclusively told Planet Sport.
"His personality, his belief, I think he is who he is in and outside the ring," Stiverne said when asked about what makes Fury so good.
"I have a lot of heavyweight friends and the person you see on the camera or in the ring is not the same person you see in the gym or at home. I think Fury is the same wherever he goes, he's not just putting on a show for the TV but that's his everyday life.
"A part of being talented is being entertaining, if you pay for it you will get entertained, you will get entertained if you're around him too. I remember after the fight with Wilder, not the last one the one before in Vegas.
"I had the chance to hang out with him a couple times. I'm closer to SugarHill, I've known SugarHill ever since he was with Adonis Stevenson. I had the chance to hang out with Fury, he's a very fun character, a very cool guy and very humble," he added.
SugarHill impact
Fury has always been known as a technical boxer but since he joined up with SugarHill Steward, he has become a more complete fighter.
Alongside the ring IQ and ability to box, Fury now has knockout power and Deontay Wilder and Dillian Whyte have both been on the receiving end of it in the three fights Fury has been with SugarHill.
Stiverne said Fury's link-up with SugarHill is a match made in heaven.
"I mean the proof is in the pudding, you see what SugarHill is able to do with Tyson. Fury had skills and potential and was talented before SugarHill. Right now they just match, they're like milk and cereal, they go together."
