Exclusive: Tyson Fury fight day breakfast revealed ahead of Dillian Whyte showdown

Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury's nutritionist George Lockhart gave an insight into what fight week looks like for Tyson Fury when it comes to putting food on the table.

A lot has been made as to how heavy Tyson Fury will be going into fight night against Dillian Whyte.

The pair will go toe-to-toe in front of a record-breaking 94,000 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night. Fury is making the second defence of his WBC heavyweight world title having previously beat Deontay Wilder in an epic trilogy encounter.

The 'Gypsy King' hit the scales at 277lbs in his last fight, and according to his nutritionist George Lockhart, he is looking 'beautiful' going into the contest despite refusing to tell Planet Sport his expected weight on the scales at Friday's weigh-in.
The cook did, however, reveal what he will be eating ahead of the all-British blockbuster and said the main thing is to maintain Fury keeps his weight on for Saturday night.
"A lot the same stuff that he eats during fight camp, everything's the same we don't really change things up. It's crazy because he works out so hard he actually keeps the weight on when he works out but as soon as he relaxes, his weight goes down drastically," Lockhart told Planet Sport.
"I think it's his body releasing all the inflammation and stuff like that so we definitely want to keep the weight up. So basically, same types of food just in larger quantities.
"We do everything the same way like for a sparring session - that's the whole purpose of a fight camp. He'll wake up on the morning of fight day and have avocado wraps then he'll have fish, beans and some kind of rice mixture with some spinach, onion, carrots, tomatoes and a lot of peppers.
"Then later in the day, his final meal I cannot say right now because we're actually doing something on the recipe book I got coming out."

The hard yards have been done in camp and Lockhart admitted he is delighted that Fury has received compliments for his conditioning.

Speaking about how he looks physically, Lockhart said Fury was in 'perfect' shape.

"We're really happy about this camp, it's going to be a beautiful one. Everybody's been saying 'it's the best I've ever seen him' so it's awesome to hear that. Obviously, I'll say that because it's my work but when people are saying 'dude it's the best he's ever looked', it's a good thing.
"There are a lot of people who are like 'I'm ready to fight' but on fight week Tyson is just full of energy, he loves this stuff.
"He hasn't said anything I don't think any of it is on his mind," Lockhart added when asked about Whyte's series of no shows. "He sold Wembley out by himself so I don't think the lack of Dillian is a big thing."
