Anthony Yarde set for April return bout against Emin Atra
Anthony Yarde will take on Germany's Emin Atra before targeting a rematch against Commonwealth champion Lyndon Arthur.
Anthony Yarde will return to the ring later this month against Emin Atra as he eyes a rematch with Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion Lyndon Arthur.
Yarde (20-2, 19 KOs) last fought in December when he lost on points to Arthur and his promoter Frank Warren is targeting a rematch later in 2021.
However, the 29-year-old Ilford fighter must first overcome German Atra (17-0, 12 KOs) in London on April 24 in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds.
"I am just looking forward to getting back in action and blowing away the cobwebs," said Yarde, who in August 2019 came close to stopping then-WBO world champion Sergey Kovalev.
"It has been a bit of a rollercoaster personal and business-wise, but I am getting back, and right now, I feel very good. Things are going well.
"I wanted the rematch with Lyndon immediately, but it didn't work out that way. There is still a rematch clause but, for now, I need to stay active.
"I gave myself time to sit back, analyse and look through everything that has happened. It is about re-assessing everything and getting myself back out there."
