Adam Azim dominates Santos Reyes only manages points win for first time in his career

British boxer Adam Azim continued his impressive rise up the professional boxing ranks with a dominant, unanimous points decision win over Santos Reyes.

While Azim may act disappointed that he failed to win by knockout for the first time in his career, the victory marks a special milestone for the 20 year old, because Reyes was also the first undefeated opponent he has faced in his professional career.
Even though he didn't get the knockout, the judges decision was completely unanimous with all three scoring it 100-89. Azim also laid Reyes out on the mat in the second round.
"I rate my performance, probably like an eight out of 10. He was very tough," Azim said after the fight. "After the first shot I landed on him and he dropped, I thought he was gone. I landed that right on the button."
Trainer Shane McGuigan was also delighted with the performance.
"It was definitely what we wanted," he told Sky Sports. "We got a knockdown, he got rounds, he got experience. He got a guy that had a tight guard and pushed him back.
"He learnt how to pace the rounds as well, so these are all the things we're doing in the gym but actually got to showcase on the live stage."
