Frazer Clarke accused of 'assault' at Mariusz Wach weigh-in
Prince Patel claims he will "be taking legal action" against heavyweight Frazer Clarke over a reported 'assault' at Thursday's fight weigh-in.
British bantamweight Prince Patel claims he will "be taking legal action" against heavyweight Frazer Clarke after the pair clashed on Thursday.
Olympic super heavyweight bronze medallist Clarke was weighing in ahead of his York Hall clash against Mariusz Wach on Friday.
Patel, 30, was also in attendance and a video has circulated showing the Blackburn-born fighter being escorted from the York Hall by a member of security.
Clarke is also present in the empty press conference room and Patel has since tweeted he will be taking the matter further.
"I was just assaulted by @BigFrazeBoxer (sic) and I will be taking legal action," tweeted the southpaw, who has an impressive 27-1-2 record.
It's unclear exactly what the clash was over, but Patel recently called Clarke "fat" and claimed he looked like "Milky from this is England" in an interview with Boxing UK.
The outspoken Patel was recently involved in a scuffle with Isaac Lowe at the Misfits Boxing event.
Clarke is headlining the bill on Friday against the dangerous Polish heavyweight Wach after Adam Azim had to pull out of his fight with a hand problem.
"[Training]'s been really difficult. I've taken this fight very seriously. Mariusz Wach is a very good opponent," Clarke said.
